As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our HR department, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and providing valuable administrative and recruitment assistance.

Key
Responsibilities:
In the role of Human Resources Generalist at SCE Credit Union, your primary responsibilities will include:
Administrative Support:
Offer critical administrative support to the HR department, including tasks such as payroll, filing, auditing of new hire, terminated, and transfer files.
Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures, and state/federal regulations.
Prepare and track documentation related to salary changes, transfers, and leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, etc.
).
Payroll Processing:
Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll in compliance with company and legal regulations.
Review and audit time records and payroll computations for accuracy.
Maintain team member profiles in HRIS and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Prepare reports related to salary increases and incentive payments.
Prepare statistical and analytical reports related to payroll and timekeeping.
Report Preparation:
Create various reports for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Recruitment:
Contribute to the development and execution of effective recruitment strategies for non-exempt and exempt positions, with a focus on timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
Post job ads, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate interviews.
Assist in new hire on-boarding activities.
Event Planning:
Assist in planning and coordinating activities and logistics for staff meetings, recognition events, and other HR-related gatherings.
HRIS Systems:
Utilize strong technical skills in HRIS systems to manage and analyze HR data, maintaining data integrity and compliance.
Oversee and implement upgrades to the HRIS payroll system.
Benefits Administration:
Handle benefits administration tasks, such as open enrollment, new hire enrollment, and changes related to qualifying events.
Other Administrative Tasks:
Undertake various other administrative responsibilities related to HR department functions to support the team's overall success.

Education and/or Experience Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree a plus Five years similar or related experience, including preparatory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in recruiting entry level to supervisory positions.
Extensive knowledge of Leave of Absence, knowledge of HR laws and regulations required.
Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required.
In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with team members and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature.
Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software Proficiency Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) Other Skills Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
The capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
