Essential Functions:
Provides additional leadership assistance to the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor as required.
Instructs technicians in proper methods of installing, repairing, adjusting machinery and equipment utilized at the laminate facility.
Advises Maintenance Management and engineering personnel of the feasibility of proposed installations, repairs, and alterations.
Requisition supplies and material needed in the operation of the maintenance department.
Inspect newly acquired equipment upon arrival, checking all parts to ensure they are working and have met industry standards before they are used in production.
Proficiency in logically troubleshooting machinery, using identifiable problem-solving techniques.
Proficiency in understanding and interpreting intermediate to advanced written technical information.
Train other team members through technical communications and/or presentations.
Lead compliance and quality activities by looking for defect trends, learning about quality issues and passing information to other technicians.
Lead projects/activities designed to eliminate hazards and improve overall safety of job operations.
Strictly abide by safety regulations during manufacturing activities, keeping equipment in check to avoid mechanical hazards that could cause harm to operators and workers Provide strong individual contributions in achieving team goals.
Demonstrated ability to work well with limited to no direction information.
Demonstrated ongoing effort to maintain knowledge of current technology Ability to lead by example and direct maintenance day to day maintenance priorities and activities.
The ability to work in a team environment, which includes being self-motivated, accepting responsibilities, completing assigned action items, and participating in a proactive manner in all team events.
Knowledge, Skill and
Experience:
Associates degree, or a High School diploma and 6
years technical experience in a production environment with at least two (2) years' experience as a lead.
To be certified electrician.
To be a certificated PLC programmer.
Proficiency in electric motor controls.
Proficiency in pneumatics and hydraulics.
Ability to design simple to complicated electrical circuits, layout schematics and label wires accurately.
Excellent problem solving, decision making and planning skills.
Time management skills.
