Dirctor, Discovery Research Informatics&Systems
Ensures the research computing needs of the Beckman Research Institute (BRI) and the City of Hope Cancer Center are being met.
Oversees application selection and development, operational process design/development, planning, governance and budgetary oversight in support of strategic alignment of Beckman Research Institute, Department of Information Sciences and ITS.
Provides continued improvement and optimal delivery of scientific computing/informatics solutions, technology and infrastructure required to support strategic goals for these areas by developing a strong understanding of the customer operations, research informatics and computing needs.
Provides advocacy for design and development of the network infrastructure, data storage components, computer hardware, software licensing and business intelligence that support the unique operational needs of research, education, and business administration.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Masters or doctoral level education in computer science, information systems/science, or scientific fieldAt least ten years of hands on experience with discovery pre-At least ten years of hands on experence with discovery pre-clinical research informatics and thorough understanding of laboratory informatics systems including LIMS, ELN, etc.
