We are currently hiring for a Sr. Project Engineer Plastic Injection Molding who is:
Responsible for communication and coordination with customers to manage engineering/technical projects, with an emphasis on the flawless launch of new products and processes to production.

Basic Responsibilities
Conduct engineering projects of medium to high scope, involving the coordination of technical activities of other professionals. This will include the improvement of existing medical devices, plastics and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding processes and the design and development of new and advanced manufacturing processes for injection molding and/or extrusion.
Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses and document all necessary acceptance and implementation procedures.
Manage trials and/or validations that pertain to the specific project he/she is responsible for, and ensures proper documentation of any and all activities required for the project.
Works in conjunction with the planning department in scheduling any necessary production equipment (molding, machines, printing machines, etc.) as required by a specific project.
Work with the tooling department in coordinating any modifications made to a mold or other piece of equipment (as requested by the customer).
Works in conjunction with document control in drafting, and approving required documents.
Generate finalized engineering product drawings with critical dimensions, performance specifications, and quality specifications (standards and test procedures).
Provides technical support in solving product quality problems with existing products.
Provide customer service regarding engineering projects generate quotations for engineering activities.
Provide ongoing reports to department manager regarding project progress and project status.
Direct and coordinate engineering department activities, communicating with internal and external customers, and vendors as required.
Travel to customer and supplier facilities as needed.
Participate and support in safety and lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical, or plastics engineering, or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in project engineering /manufacturing engineering in medical device manufacturing,
Technical knowledge of thermoplastic and/or LSR injection molding.
Practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Organization structure, workflow and operating procedures.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of ISO-13485 and FDA CFR Title 21, or the ability to learn.
Strong knowledge of thermoplastic injection molding and part design.
Knowledge of use of statistical software (Minitab Preferable).
Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite.
Taking initiative and/or leadership on projects and strong project management skills.
Represents the company in a professional manner with customers and suppliers.
Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Good planning and organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including presentation skills.
Trustworthy with strong initiative and follow-up.
Ability to communicate effectively (written & spoken) as required for job related communication throughout the organization.
Judgment and Decision Making Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
Ability to work in excess of a 40-hour week if necessary with ability to travel on occasion.
Flexibility to work different shifts as needed.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Training and certification in lean manufacturing practices and Six Sigma.
